I am sure they would turn it over one way or another then start have a lovely meal. We have the very nasty Cane Toads in Aust and the Black crows are killing them easily. They have worked out if they flip them over it exposes their soft belly and as the poisons are on the toads back just a snack for the Black Crows. Animals and fish are very intelligent when it comes to eating time. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. However if you have a snail the size of mine, tennis ball size. You would be O.K. I have never see one that big in a stores however. Keep looking, as "Pomacea maculata" gets 6" in diameter and I do not think a 4 inch clown loach would eat a snail that size, or even try. |

What I am saying is if you got a 3" snail and a 4" loach, the loach would not eat the snail. As the two got bigger, (6" snail and 12" loach). The loach would still not eat the snail.... maybe. With predators, if it will not fit in it mouth, it will not eat it...for the most part. |
