How large are your clown loaches, and how long have you had them?

Well I no longer have them- Gave them to a friend when they got too big before I had the room to get a bigger tank.

I bought them around 2" and kept them in a 30 gal.- they grew to about 5" after maybe 6 months more or less.

I have 3 that are all ~3.5" long; I've had them for a month but have no idea how old they are. I haven't noticed any growth since I got them but they are good eaters

One thing I did notice is that the 2 my spouse bought for me at PetSmart have much deeper-colored black stripes than the 1 I ordered online.

5 CL's. Have owned for around 1 year. Bougt at 1.5"-4", now at 2"-5". Spurts 2 times a year(so far I've seen),different times for all. Thicker/healthier/more colorfull/playful, but still SLOW growers. CL's ROCK.

I had these Clown Loaches up till very recently when a sudden local water problem caused theire deaths. I had had them for 18+ years I now have only one left.

I forgot to add at their death I actually measured it and it was 8+ins seeing I had it for 18+ years it would have been over 20 yld. I have only one left from the three. I think the survivor fretted as it did not eat or come out of its cave for three weeks.

I just got my first clown yesterday and when I introduced it to my community tank one of my female swordtails was picking on him and biting him. So this morning I went to feed the fish and I cant find the clown anywhere! I know that they like to hide and burrow, but what do they normally burrow in and was it possible for my fish to eat him in like 8 hours with no trace of any bones or anything? Please help. Thanks

That is my fear Keith It must be very hard to lose fish that you've had for so long
I have 5 for about 8 months, 3 I bought and 2 more were given to me by someone who had to move. They were all slightly different in size (around 2inch) but they all look to be about the same size now(5 inch).
They never fail to make me laugh at their antics

18 clowns, have had them a year and a half. The biggest is almost 5.5-6 inches, they are never still enough for me to measure them :%)
