	Clowns eating plants..

I just noticed that my loaches are eating my plants,they don't do it often but my plants are getting like swiss cheese. They get enough food so why do they destroy my plants? Robby I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

Not even really eat, they like shredding them I've ever had a clwon that didnt do at least a little bit of damage. Might be time to look at plastic plants, mine have done great with the loaches. Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn.

Maybe it should have.. What about Yoyos? Robby I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

The only plants they do this to in my tank are surprisingly anubias. They leave my hornwart, anacharis and java ferns alone thoguh.

koi keeper Moderator Posts: 3203 Kudos: 2033 Votes: 240 Registered: 29-Dec-2001	Actually back when the site articles were still loaded my article on the care and selection of clowns does mention they are not paticularly plant compatible Sorry, wish you had known before you mixed the two the only plants that may make it are lava ferns and mosses, those tough tear me into a million pieces and I will still grow kind of plants Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn.

My big fella will shift rocks to find food. Put a lettuce leaf in the tank and watch them rip it to pieces. Mine can eat a full lettuce leaf under one hour. I have never seen them eating the Jave Fern or the Anubias it could be too tough or not to their liking.
