Hmm. I'd like to give you an unqualified 'yes' because Synodontis eupterus is a magnificent fish. However, you already have two fairly large fishes in that 75G (I take it this isa 75 US gallons?).

On their own, a pair of eupterus would do nicely for quite a while before you had to think about rehousing. Although PlanetCatfish claims that they reach 6 inches, they could probably grow over that size given the space: 75G sounds like a lot until you factor in the existing inhabitants. A qualified 'yes' for now, but be prepared to rehouse/get a larger aquarium in the future. However, this shouldn't be a pressing need for at least a couple of years. Oh, and Synodontis are long lived. Expect up to 15 years of life from your Featherfins if you get them.

Another useful page for you to browse is this:

I had 3 featherfins in my 180g tank and my guys definately exceeded the 6" that you hear as their max length.
I had alot of rockwork(african cichlids) in the tank which they loved and dashed around darting in and out of the rockwork all day/night long. I think that if the tank had been planted the plants would of been destroyed. Just something to think about if you want to keep them temporarily in the tank you have.

Go a bigger tank than 125 robby, the need for space will never be satisfied.

1 would be fine in a 75 for life. 2 "might" quarral with each other. I would be more worried about the plecs size depending on the type. FF syno max size is 8 inches(rarely seen).

I have one in a US 55 Gal. since Oct. I started with two but one was not growing as fast and didn't really find a space in the tank for its liking so I took it back. The one that I still have is doing great. It is a super cool fish. When I got it, it was proably about 2 to 3 inches now measuring 4 to 5 inchs. When I first got it the fish grew like crazy but now it has slowed down a lot.

By the way thanks for talking about a cool catfish instead of the little corry's!

Depends on the size. They start at around $20 for small ones over here, then the prices start going up. A five incher will go for about $40, if I remember correctly from the last one we had.

EDIT: This is all for my area, now.

FF Synos are very common. You should not pay over $10US for a 3" specimen. Petsmart also sells here for $15, but that is too high. Dont pay over $15, you can find very less pricey elsewhere.

I would say yes, you could get a featherfin. I would love to have one, but my tank stock just doesnt suit one of these big synos.
Remember they do reach about 8-9 inches, and will eat small fish when they get big.
Here, I have seen the cheapest price for a baby syno less than 1 inch is 14.97 Canadian, or about 12 dollars american. I have seen 2-3 inch ones range from 24-32 dollars.

I have one in a 55g UK and it is doing fine, can be a bit aggresive towards otherfish but noting threatening to eat them, just more "I am boss" thing. They are a great fish and I recommend you buy it. have fun
