Feeding Pumpkin | |
Darthannihl8or Enthusiast Posts: 206 Kudos: 140 Votes: 20 Registered: 27-Apr-2003 | Has anyone here done this for their plecos. An LFS I went to had it in with all his plecos and it apparently brings out their colour really well. Do I have to cook this before I put it in the tank? |

I certainly would not cook it as it would be too mushy. If raw it could be too hard for them to eat. You could try pouring boiling water over the pumpkin and let it sit in the boiling water for a few minutes. My profile has my feeding program. Have a look in [link=My Profile]http:// www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/forums/profile.asp?userid=6741" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] for my tank info [link=Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tanks]http://photobucket.com/albums/b209/keithgh/Betta%20desktop%20tank/" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. Actually, most loricariids would prefer it raw, for they enjoy grinding it up; par boiling is merely to entice other fish that don't have the dental work to scrape the pulp off the pumpkin. Well I did find a place to use the mango. The royal actually came out in the daylight. My boyfriend was all excited. He keeps telling me to get a huge pleco instead of those little 2-3" ones. |
