mmmmm....zuchini! or however you spell it. squash, pumpkin, ect. they love it! when they are small, you can use algea, driftwood, and wafers for main food, then throw in a veggie like i just mentioned tied to a rock in the bottom for 24 hours and let them munch on it for variety in their diet. if you leave it in longer than 24 hours it pollutes the tank though.

Try small amounts of different vegies you will soon find out soon enough if it is liked dont be afraid to experement. The most important thing is to remove the uneaten food, I prefer to leave it in for only a few hrs.

My Profile has a very good list of extra food I have used.

I feed all my fish cooked peas once a week. The BNs love them! I've tried zuccini and they especially enjoyed munching on that!

yep, sounds good.
If you have trouble with the veggies floating, you can blanch them so they'll sink to the bottom.
I personally buy bags of frozen mixed vegetables from the grocery store. I thaw it under running water before putting it in the tank. They sink right to the bottom and are usually gone by the next morning (one piece).

Every so often. I try to mix up their diet so that they don't get finicky. Give them zuchini one night, then wafers the next, that sort of thing.

You can feed them daily or if you like weekly or in between. It's up to you & how much time you have to prepair the food.

I have no set pattern or time when I feed them vegies it depends on what I am cooking at that time. I never feed them just before the lights go off or when the lights are off.
