	Giant Otocinclus
RobD Small Fry Posts: 5 Kudos: 9 Votes: 0 Registered: 09-Jul-2004	I didn't see this guy in the profile anywhere. Picked it up a few weeks ago at the pet store for about $7. Size is around 3 inches. They called it a "Giant Otocinclus", but I think the species is Hypoptopoma. I've seen on the net it has been referenced as "Flat Head Dwarf Sucker". Seems to behave exactly like the regular oto in my tank. Although which one is a bit beyond my remit to tell just from the photo, as good quality as it is. Usually, these things need dissection to tell them apart definitively! Try planetcatfish.com, go to Loricariidae, and look for the Genus Hypoptopoma. It's almost as hard to ounce as it is to type! Panda Catfish fan and keeper/breeder since Christmas 2002
