Hi,

I have a 20g community tank with 5-neons an 6-lemon tetras also a black molly. Theres no algaes but lots of left over food on the bottom. I was wonder what will be a good bottom feed to handle the job of help cleaning?

Thanks for any ideas, Shane

Hey,
From my limited experience, i think one of the smaller plecos would be good, bristlenose, candy stripe, ive heard that bristle nose plecos are really good. You may want to get a second opinion tho!
Sam
Hope i helped a bit!

Left-over food just means you're overfeeding. Cut back and you won't have that problem.
Besides, any fish you picked for leftover food (cories are the most common choice) would also need food of their own.

Corys
Synodontis
Small Plec
Loaches
And more or less most other bottom feeders eat left overs!

Name some you like and can get hold of and then we could point out the best for your tank

First, siphon the excess food out.

Second, give your aquarium a thorough gravel vac.

Third, cut down the feeding. Small amounts often is the best rule.

Fourth, get bottom feeders, but treat them as honoured guests instead of garbage collectors, and you'll be amply rewarded. If the way my Panda Corys spawn is any indication, this régime works just fine.

You must first observe the 4 rules that Calilasseia said & yes, add some Corydoras. They are lovely & alot to choose from. They are full of entertainment & you'll gonna like them alot.

[font color="#008000"]Corys are the best left over food eater. And, they do it with a smile.

A school of cories... any kind that stays smaller, is what I'd do, in order to have more of them.
