I have 2 small half inch clowns and 7 clowns who are between 2 to 3 inches in size. I know clowns grow slowly and I have kept clowns before, but I want to know, how old are the clowns at about half an inch? 2 weeks, 4 weeks, one year old????

probably 1-2 years old

I bought 3 clowns ( maby only 1" long) and in a year, they have just about doubled (and one almost tripled) their size.

Thanks, then I can say my other boys are about 2-3 years of age. All of them (but one) doubled in size in 3 months since I bought them.

isn't that strange? I was told that CL's take for ever to grow but mine just keep getting bigger faster. the little ones i bought about a month ago are already considerably bigger!

I have asked that same question several times and no one seems to know the correct answer.

I have four one inch clowns and after one year they have grown about 1/2 inch.

Even though all mine were exactly the same size they are all different in size length and girth.

I personally think it all depends on their enviorenment.

My very large clowns seem to have grown slowly but continually.

I think as they get older they grow at a slower rate until they reach full maturity.

I agree with the fact that all clowns dont grow at the same rate. Where some of my clowns have grown upto double-triple in size and girth, some have grown only marginally. However, all are showing good growth.

I am not however, able to guess the age of the half inch clowns. I was hoping to tell how old they were, and measure their growth, so I could say how old the bigger (little big they are only about 3 inches now) clowns are.

As you can see by this photo taken 18 months ago they all vary in length and girth. They were all purchased together and all the same size.

Sorry to this to you.
