Look at these pics and see...here he is at 4cm.

here he is around 6-8cm.


and now he is 11-13cm.


When i told the lfs where i bought it from the owner hardly belived me

Glyptoperichthyids usually stop such explosive growing once they hit 7-8", or more specifically, half their adult sizes. From then on, you can expect only a few inches per year of growth, if any at all.

I forgot to say that from the first pic to the third shows how much he has grown in some months..if i remember well it's 4-5 months.

I think you will find it depends on the diet and the water peramiters also the tank size.

I have seen some monsters in display tanks.

The pleco loves the waffers and he doesnt want to shear it with the loaches...one time the clown loach stole the waffer from the pleco and he started to chase the clown all over the tank.
The fish get bloodworms,waffers,discus pellets and flakes.
I think the pleco will not grow fast anymore since i have heard the plecos stop growing when they get mature and from there they grow slowly.
I just have to see if this is correct because my pleco is still growing
