Does anyone else have these interesting fish...

I have 4 of these critters, and whilst they are nocturnal if you turn the light off in the tank and give them some time they will come out and swim around etc.

Question is are they possible to breed in tank, has anyonwe managed to?

I have 5 in my Betta tank 3 striped and 2 a dark brown colour. They all come out at feeding time every morning and are usually swimming in, under, and between the small rocks I have all day. They are excellent for getting into those small places other fish cannot get to clean up any uneaten food.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Excellent photo Keithgh
I wish i could get a hold on some of those Kuhli loaches,i love them and they are really interesting creatures.
Hopefully i will get some soon. Males have a more muscular upper body appearance, and usually have larger pectoral fins with more black markings on them. Females have fatter lower bodies with green eggs that become quite visible at times.

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

nice photo, mine are new to the tank and are quite timid, though i do see them start to poke their heads out of my caves every now and again, i expect once my tank evolves a little more they will become more outgoing. Mine are only young at the moment, about 3 inches and quite thin.

I don't know about breeding them but I love kuhlis It's funny because when I was first shopping for loaches my husband showed an interest in them, my response was ummm, don't think so, they look like worms

I have 8 now...some black and a variety of stripe patterns/colors. I'm fortunate that I see mine frequently during the day. For anyone keeping them I would definitely recommend getting as many as you can; they don't school but very much like to be kept in groups. You'll see a lot of playing that way...it's great when 2 or 3 of them start racing up and down the length of the tank I also work nights so I think because of that they're used to activity and lights at night.

And of course being one of my favorite fish I have to show off I love the first pic and I still laugh when I see it. It was around 3am and I was getting ready for work...I had a dim light on in the kitchen and peeked at the tank: oh no, a dead kuhli Wrong, a comfortable sleeping kuhli

They also like cucumber:

YUP, I have 5 in my tank. They can usually be seen swimming about around the wood and plants (especialy at feeding time). As for being shy I had one eat freeze dried tubifex worms out of my fingures when I was trying to attach them to the bottom part of the tank. They are definatley cool fish. I even had eggs once.
