Brengun Big Fish Posts: 355 Kudos: 187 Votes: 110 Registered: 22-Jun-2007 | I got 6 x L397 today. The first thing they did when they got in the tank was to go hide. I hope they are going to come back out sometime so I can see them. |

Plec's (especially L397) aren't so plentiful in Australia so to find someone breeding within driving distance from me is fantastic as I hate having fish airfreighted. http://www.plecofanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51693 |

They could have been airfreighted if needed and they would have been quite ok. Getting toward colder weather now tho, so maybe you should enquire if those heatpacks (the microwave ones) are added for airtravel or at least a thermal esky type box? They were by no means little skimpy fry fish I got, they were at least 4cm long each and had plenty of good healthy color. When you see where they have to hide in my tank its no wonder they are having so much fun playing hidey-go-seek. |

Very nice, hope they do come out so you can get a nice pic of them when they're less stressed. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

Its a big outlay of money (for us anyway), we have to wait until hubby's monthly payday. (hate monthly pays ) Your fish are lovely brengun. Hope they come out for you to see them soon. Maybe it simulates lightning and the wet season to them? I have also noticed (photography wise) that the white on the cucumber reflects light and lights up the plec better. |
