The other day I saw my Pandas spawning, they were doing that T position thing, and swimming round the Java moss. Then I saw one with its fins clammped together holding a tiny round thing. A few days later there was a few little eggs lying in the Java moss!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited, I wasn't even trying to breed them!!!

Well, Corydoras wotroi is no longer a valid species, though sometimes stores still stick that label on their fish. It is now supposed to apply to either C. melanistius or C. brevirostris (the latter was once a subspecies of C. melanistius), though I forget which one. Corydoras delphax is another species altogether, so there are several species that your fish could possibly be. If you could post up some pictures, someone here can probably identify your fish.

And by the way, good deal with spawning your cories. Seen any hatchlings yet?

They are a cross between delphax and wotrol. I think I saw a fry wiggling in the gravel! Sorry I can't get photos of them as the tank is too dark and they don't come out. I will try and get a photo, but it is hard because I don't have a digital camera. Can you show me a picture of the different corys it could be? I will tell you then which one it is most like.

Corydoras delphax:

Corydoras brevirostris:

Corydoras melanistius:

Those are the three possible species just judging by the name your fish were sold as. Sorry I don't have pictures of the second and third cories, I don't own them.

The obvious differences between these fish lie in the spots, black "mask" area, and the yellow stripe. You can see how each of these things differs a little for each fish. Do know that the spot sizes and arrangements can vary even within each species, so don't go on just the spots alone. These fish are tough to tell apart; it isn't a big deal if you can't figure it out.[/font]

It looks most like the Corydoras brevirostris, as it doesn't have a long nose like the Delphax. It is definitely not the last one, there is no yellow stripe.
Thanks! Does anyone know anything about Corydoras brevirostris? ARe they easy to care for? How big do they get?

They're pretty much your typical Corydoras; easy to care for, peaceful, active (when kept in shoals, of course), and easy to feed. They usually grow to a little over six cm, though seven is possible for females.

I am postitive the pandas are breeding now, I found these little clumps of yellowy brown round things on some leaves at the front of the tank, and noticed the pandas were round there a lot at the moment, I will try and get a pic ok.
