In a cave in a tank with frontosas, with a pH of 8.6.
I cant get a very good look at the eggs because he is guarding them very well.
I didnt expect them to spawn in this tank because of the high pH. Anyone have an opinion on the eggs chance of being fertile and fry hatching?
Guess i'll find out in a few days, til then i'd like to hear from anyone who wants to share their thoughts, especially anyone who has had past success with bn's spawning in a high pH.

Lindy.

One of the BN suppliers for my LFS says he raises them in 8.4 water. They are beautiful albinos, and he says he always raises his fry in alkaline waters. They are truly great looking fish, hopefully yours will do just as well!

Thanks for the replies.
Lunker, thats very encouraging! I was thinking about setting up and moving the eggs and dad to another tank but he's chosen a huge piece of rock that wont fit into any of the tanks I have space to set up. Typical.
