I just put my 3 pandas in the 126 litre with my 3 schwartzis and they went mad!!!!!!!!!!!!:%):%):%)The schwartzis are about double the size but they were leading them to all the hiding places, and from what I could see they were giving them a tour of the tank and showing htem all the good places to hide and play in! They are so cute only about 2cm and the schwartzis are about 4cm!

Heh heh heh ...

Your life will never be the same again Labrakitty ... you can throw out the television now

Wait until they discover the delights of Hikari algae wafers. The thing about those algae wafers is that they contain fish and krill meal, which in the case of my Pandas is a serious boost to already hyperactive nuttiness ... mine will perform a whole range of comedy antics once those tasty treats hit the water, and it takes about five nanoseconds for my Pandas to discover them. In fact, because of the way I deliver them (I use a spare piece of undergravel uplift tube to place the pieces in precise locations) my Pandas have learned that there are different vibrations associated with my movements in front of the aquarium when I feed these, and even if they're having a chillout session under the bogwood boot, it's as if someone's thrown a switch - out they come, tails wagging like puppies being fed dog chocolates!

Mind you, you have not truly lived until you see Pandas sticking their snouts in the pig trough with respect to feeding upon live Bloodworm ... Kitten will testify to this courtesy of my photos

Oh, and if you have a bogwood arch similar to the one I have, keep a watch just in case your Pandas do the same as mine - mine do Synodontis impersonations swimming upside down under the arch just in case there's some tasty titbits they've missed on the roof!

Put Pandas in an aquarium in which they're happy, and madness abounds. Non stop comedy entertainment. Makes televiion look sad

Enjoy your Pandas Labrakitty, they'll reward care and diligence on your part with truly crazy antics at times ... and if they ever start spawning, you'll be a helpless heap on the floor watching them!

I don't think mine will spawn for a while since they are so tiny.(they might be too young) I will try hikari algae wafers! I have seen them hop through a whole in the bogwood togethere with the schwartzis, they are really good friends! I cannot get live bloodworms at any of my lfs but I definitely feed frozen and maybe live brine shrimp. (I am scared of bringing disease.) they have been swimming up and down the sides of the glass playing chasey with each other most of the time they have been in the tank, they are so cute!

I can attest to Cali's pandas antics of spawning...Though I have not seen them in action I have heard their actions, through our great narrator, and all I could do was lay here thrashing about in fits of hysterical laughter I know the feeling of letting smaller fish into the tank, as my Old Neons did the same thing with my young neons...And as for action, it is hysterical to watch Danties fly across 6 ft of room just to collide with a neon and go back the way they came. Feed them some frozen blood worms, but be prepared for them and everyone else in the tank for that matter, to come flying from all directions

And Cali, the only reason the tv is still in the living room is I'm too busy laughing at the silly fish and their antics to throw it outthat, and well I have gotten so I just plug in a cd, and give the fishies some music Heidi

As far as I am aware, live bloodworm are a relatively low disease risk. I've been using them for over 2 years with my Pandas, and they've never caused any major problems. They're an insect larva, and unless someone can point me to an article that links them with a digenetic parasite of some kind, I'm not going to change what works

Incidentally, my Bloodworm are the larvae of a Chironomus midge that is native to the UK. And isn't thus far implicated in disease transmission. Species from other locales (e.g., USA) may differ, but I haven't heard of this.

A quick link will show you the fun and games to expect.

My Photo Album On MSN

Browse this for the Panda spawning pics and MUCH more (including my Methuselah Otocinclus). Pictures have comments attached to them. And be prepared to smile at the antics depicted.

Oh, and there's other pics in there apart from fish ones. You'll have to wade through LOTS of faeries

Oops, almost forgot ...

My pandas are my little gems They have spawned several times, but I have only actually witnessed it once. And it was fascinating!!!

As a matter of fact, I just found a second little Panda fry in my tank a couple of days ago.

Welcome to the wonderfully amusing world of Panda Corys!!! Hang on for the ride (and the power filter dives!)

Thanks! This morning the most amazing thing happened....One of my little Pandas was all by its self and couldn't find the food. Then 2 of the big schwartzis came along and werer pushing and directing it to the tablet, it started going to the side and then the schwartzis would push it back onto the track! It was the most adorable thing!!!!!!!!!!!
