I have a pictus catfish in my 55 Gallon aquarium along with 6 Tiger Barbs and 4 Rosy Barbs. I have had problems in the past with catfish because I hate overfeeding my fish so all of my catfish used to die because i didn't put enough food in for some of it to fall to the gravel. So my question is, "Is there something that I can put in the tank to feed the Pictus cat that will sink to the bottom while I feed the rest of my fish?" Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

ALSO, if someone has any suggestions about fish to add to my tank they would be greatly appreicated. I am not sure what else to add! Thanks!!!!!

Algae wafers, sinking wafers, left over food that you feed the other fish, shrimp pellets... they're not too picky.

I have two large pictus they are very shy but always come out for food.

I feed a mix of sinking pellets a different one each day of the week, also I feed with four dissolved cubes of frozen blood worms three times a week, plus four broken up Hikari Algae Wafers every day.

This might seem a lot but I have several large fish to feed.

Have a look in my profile for my tank info

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

Pictus really go nuts for shrimp pellets..
Also try trowing in some washed chopped shrimp and watch them go nuts

Some chopped fish fillet (now we're goin gourmet) is also relished. Sinking cichlid pellets and algae wafers etc also good to supplement diet..
