The main thing I want to mention is some advice. You cannot immagine how many aquarists get into trouble by purchasing fish that look good or cute, but have no idea what it is, how big it gets, or its temperament. You should do one of two things FIRST. Either always take a book identifying fish and giving information on them with color pictures for ease of looking them up, OR, walk across the aisle and look the fish up in one of the many books the pet shop has on the racks. If you cannot find the fish, or learn about it, do not buy it. These unknown fish frequently turn into monster fish in either size, appatites, temperament, or territory demands and will wreck havoc in what was a peaceful tank. If you don't know what it is, don't buy it, and, unless you really, really KNOW the store owner, don't trust what some of them say. They frequently import all sorts of small immature fish, because they sell, and they have no scruples. Then the fish grow into tank busters and the new owner (you) have no way to take care of it.
