illustrae Fish Addict Posts: 820 Kudos: 876 Registered: 04-May-2005	From your post about overstocking in the general freshwater forum, I'd say that the cramped conditions are largely to blame, as many fish will become aggressive when they don't have their own space. So really, it could be anything in that tank that damaged your rainbow, especially since you are also keeping them with fidler crabs, which are more than capable of damaging fish. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

So with in a few weeks that problem should be resolved. Thanks for your reply! I am doing everything I can to make these fish happy and healthy. I know I shouldnt have overcrowded my tank like that, but I couldnt stand to let some fish get flushed down the toilet. Thanks! Fish CAN fly!

Plecos can become pretty territorial when forced to share space, and fighting can break out. You don't have any other plecs in the tank, so there shouldn't be any problems with the rubbermouth. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
