Syno nigriventris feeding? | |
Fish_lover Fish Addict Posts: 742 Kudos: 176 Votes: 0 Registered: 14-Nov-2001 | Hey guys, anyone know wats the best way to feed the UPside down catfish? Firstly, do these guys eat during the day or night? I have these freeze-dried bloodworms that float on the surface, and i have frozen bloodworms, and also sinking tablets. Now, since USD swim upside down, should i feed them food that float on the surface? Or, if i put sinking tablets, will they swim 'normally' and feed from the bottom of the tank? |

Just give them a variety of foods including small granular foods, live foods, the odd algae water crumbled up,and for real comfort some surfaces like rocks and plants to browse off, and let them worry about how theyre going to eat it. |

I feed mine shrimp pellets, algae wafers, frozen bloodworms, fresh veggies, and snail jello (spinach, squash baby food, peas, beans, and canned salmon mixed with gelatin and frozen in cubes). But at the night time feeding I put in pieces of an algae wafer & sinking shrimp pellets. They came out then, turning right side up & ate both the foods. After the lights went off......... I don't know what they did. |

And i have never had synocats before, so i dont know much, but i think its fine if you feed them anything. Maybe you should give them floating foods along with the aforementioned foods. ><> ~=!Vote Today!=~ <>< -----> View My Dragons <----- |

Then I heat the baby food squash up hot, add it to the veggies then add a packet of unflavored gelatin. I pour it in a flat pan and freeze till almost hard, then I cut it into cubes and freeze solid, then ziplock bag it. If youre feeding apple snails, add a scoop of pure elemental calcium such as for reptiles. Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |
