OK I can't help but wanting to brag...First I get a good camera (I stand by that:88)) Then I get this awesome tank 125 gallons for those who don't know Then I get metae corries, and then yesterday I got Danty corries Yes, I'm proudExcitedand Insane:%)

So last night I caught the two species having a stand off, and no noone got hurt, but it was so funny to watch the danties begging to try and be in everyone elses school

kind of looks like David and Goliath..Ok..advice asked from those more experienced...would dainty cories do well in a 10g or do you think it would be too hard to maintain the water quality they need?

Nice fish. Just a suggestion does your camera have a manual mode? You may be able to increase your film speed and/or your aperture settings/exposure time and with enough interior lighting be able to reduce the use of your flash which will help to eliminate the flash back from the your fish's eyes.

ROTF!!!

A typical Corydoras 'comedy moment' enshrined forever. Love it.

Put lots of Corydoras catfishes together and this is the kind of madcap fun and frolics that ensues. Even if you just have one species, if you have them in good numbers, then fun and games and hilarity are the order of the day. Nice one Heidi

Soemday if I can afford a decent digital video camera, I'm going to leave you all in stitches with some of my Panda antics. Provided of course you don't all sue me when you laugh so hard you rupture a vital organ or two

What camera did you get? Certainly an interesting photo well done.

Keith,
I ended up getting a Kodak EasyShare CX7330

I realize that most would only have negative things to say about Kodak, but I've truly only had good luck with them on real cameras, so figured the digital wouldn't be any different...So far so good...still some functions I haven't figured out how to use, and all, but I'll get there...Thanks ya'll I found them quite hilariousheidi

A friend has bought the exact Camera I think and I was suprised at the quality of the photos especially for the $$$ she paid. Certainly it has not got all the bells & whatnots the expensive cameras have, but she does not need all that.

Pugperson, I'd only advise launching into a habrosus minitank if you know what you're doing, and can run it practically like an intensive care unit in terms of maintenance and intervention. Nitrate management in particular is going to be a chore. Even with added Hornwort to hoover up as much nitrate as possible, you will be looking at twice weekly water changes minimum. And to keep the habrosus in tip top condition, you'd be advised to feed LOTS of live food to make sure that their immune systems are functioning at peak all the time. It would only take one small lapse, and a major emergency could result.

If you have the skill, the knowhow, and the time to devote to fairly intensive management, then habrosus is small enough (just) for this kind of experiment, but even so, it would be hard work. Far better to wait until you can afford a bigger aquarium (say 24" x 12" x 12" and give them a water volume that#'s FAR easier to maintain habitably. Then, furnish it in the manner of my oft-described Panda Fun Palace™ and watch the frolics and mayhem!

Cali, do you have photos posted of your panda tank? I've often heard you mention it, and I would love to take a look. Do you have a link for me, so I can check it out?

Here you go

Just select "Next Picture" to see the detail shots of the bogwood bits & the Amazon Sword.

Note, these are now somewhat old, but the general appearance hasn't changed that much, apart from the addition of some floating Hornwort.

If you browse around the album, you'll also find (among zillions of other things too numerous to mention) closeup pics of assorted fish that are either current or past aquarium inmates, closeups of the Pandas spawning, fry shots, a brace of other goodies. Just be aware that the fish pics are separated by big gaps filled with faeries.
