![]() | White/Black catfish in a 10 gallon |
kent1992![]() Fingerling Posts: 26 Kudos: 9 Votes: 0 Registered: 03-Feb-2006 | I am trying to go with a white and black theme in my 10 gallon and was wondering if any bottom feeding fish has a predominately white coloration and would fit my tank? The fish could be all white or maybe more black, but it can only include those 2 colours. |

There are a couple dozen species of Cories that are black and white. Also, the Striped Raphael and Spotted Raphael are both black and white. There are plenty of plecs that are black and white as well. Proceed with caution, but Skunk Loaches are also black and whitish, though they can be nippy to aggressive. There are so many black and white catfish you'll wish you had more than a 10 gallon to work with. ![]() -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

Some other cories are pandas, (big black blotches) or Agassiz's Corydoras (little black spots all over. †Aquapickle† |

They live with a male betta, 5 harlequin rasboras and 2 otos and lots of live plants. "If you're afraid you'll make a mistake, you won't make anything." -Family Circus |

However, given that it's a fairly active fish, some people might caution you against putting that in a 10G too. But it IS the smallest of all the Botia loaches, and a great snail eater if you want that service performing too. ![]() |
