I have just discovered by this photo I have a male BN I hope one of the other Albinos is female.

Can the Albino and the common BN cross breed?

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

They should be able to breed, although I'm making this guess even though there are multiple species of albinos and multiple species of "common" BN's available.

At the LFS I used to work at we had a 120G discus tank. Also in the tank were 3 BN plecos. A brown male and two albino females. They produced a wealth of babies. All were brown.

It's not a cross breed if they are the same "species", which they are.

You should throw differing numbers of abn young relative to the genotype of the male.

I breed bn pleco's. My original parent bn's are regular fin and long fin with the albino gene I get around 50 % albino fry. if you are looking for albino fry you will need two fish with the albino gene if one of them does not have the albino gene you will need to breed the fry from the reg X alb. back to the albino parent.
for breeding conditions you need 72 deg. temp and lots of water changes I do 75% every oher day. Two females to one male is a good ratio to start with.

Good Luck

So if I can get my hands on an albino female and I breed it with my brown male I should get about 50% albinos? I might have to try that after I make the move into the new house.

You will only get albino fry if your brown male has the albino gene.

"you will only get albino fry if your brown male has the albino gene."

The albino trait, assuming it is the same amongst both mating individuals, is recessive in nearly all cases. Thus, you'd get ~50% albino.
