my corys just spawned

going to collect them now

Mother and all Cories doing well I hope. By that title I thought some thing was wrong.

i had to only make a quick post to start, becasue i had to go collect eggs, but i decided to only take half of the 52 eggs in the clutch. i ended up knocking a few off, and decided to stop after i had 17

soon after i kept an eye on the rest, but after a bit, all the eggs were gone. most eaten by the father

but, they are at it again, because i saw 2 more eggs on the front glass, and one egg shell, also the corys are still frisky

also, some history on these guy and gals...a few weeks back i went down to walmart and saw the front and side glass covered in eggs, i knew they wernt from the goldfish in there, but knew emediatly they were cory eggs. so i called over a girl who i knew haddent gotten fish for me before, so she would get the eggs for me, i also decided that i wanted the parents, so i chose 3 out of the possible 7 parents in there (couldent afford the rest) i picked the two biggest, and then told her to pick any other one that she could catch. eventually in a frak incident i lost all the fry i had (both the corys and other first time fry for me..had corys spawn for me before, but not albinos) so, in the end, i figure my judgement was correct.

I love babies! What are you going to do with all those cories

Congratulations for your Corydoras. Make sure to add some Anti Fungus drops & an airstone, so the eggs wouldn't get fungused.

grr cant find my anti fungues stuff but i already have the airstone running and the container is floating in the tank they came from, so no exposure to atmospheric air, i turned up the heater, and did another cool water chnge today also, so, maybe another breeding is in order.. but i also have to seperate the 9 rams in there too, but im just waiting for them to choose their mates..so, maybe the eggs will have better chnces with only one pair in there.
