no hes fine if it was gonna cause him a problem he would move. if however u still feel unhappy having him rest there then just chase him off it a few times and u will find that he will stay away. <--- on the other hand he could get stressed if u keep chasing him. best leave him be! he'll be ok!

You really should keep clowns loaches in a bigger group, 2 is not enough. BTW, how big is the tank?

Its a 20g planted tank with 17 neon/cardinal tetras inside. I notice that loach will get pretty big but I dont really think it can possibly get to the matture stage probably would die after a few years. If not I also have larger tank for him which is my 75g but atm is now have 4x dicus and a wood inside.

Well of course your CLs wont reach the mature stage in a 20, theyll stunt first

Stunting is when the bones stop growing and the organs continue to grow. It is a terrible way to go.

A 20G is far too small for clown loaches and certainly they are happier in schools.

I think if I put my CL over to my dicus tank would be better for them. But if my discu get sick again I have to remove CL again which will stress them pretty much. Since I offen raise my temparture during the sick period of my discu tank to like 90+ degree to kill bateria.(I dont know why that the damn UV light I spend like 100 dollars on still not enought to kill bad bateria, it suppose to kill disease before it occur damn light is not working). So probably its alot easier to take care discu when I dont have to worry too much about CL getting cook.

I would wait until your sure the disease has gone from the discus tank and then transfer them to that one, you want to give them the best possible life in a nice roomy tank.

Katieb that stunting thing sounds horrible! Poor fishys.

Well, I have 19 clowns and my tank temp is always about 32 degrees C as I am in India. In the summer it rises to upto 33 degress C which is a little over 90 degrees F, so I dont think the temp would be a problem, however, I would wait till the sickness in the Discuss tank is over before moving them in.

Yes, a small group is better than 2 clowns and as big a tank as possible. Definitely over 55 gal.

They are lovely fish, and you are not going to want them dying on you, trust me on this one. I didnt end up with 19 just like that :%)
