hey all...i have 5 clown loaches and 4 silver dollar in a 55g tank..the problem that i have is..they only eat worms...which is quite bad cuz they wont eat flake foods which is much cheaper..any suggestions on how to solve this problem?<br>p.s. i have a 15 inch arowana..and im trying desperately to cut down costs..<br><br>thank you

You can leave them 2/3 days without food & then feed them Flakes. If they'll be hungry, they should eat them. You must also feed them a variaty of foods & not just one type. Different foods means healthy fish & welcome to FP.

First try it & the see if they'll eat or not. If they don't eat, you must continue feeding them worms & try other foods with them, to see if they'll eat it or not.

oh..thx alot..really appreciate ur help...well...im still new when it comes to rearing clown loaches..hehe...cuz in malaysia...its only RM3 which is less than 1 USD..another question...will clown loach mix well with batik loach?cuz its around the same price...

I've read that they are quite shy, so i think they'll be fine with CL's but in a 55 gal. tank with SD's & CL's i wouldn't add any more fish.

feed them normal food.. dont feed them worms.

When they start starving, they will start eating your food.

It took my RTBS 4 days to start eating flake.

Let them go hungry for three days. Dont feed the tank at all. Then when you do start again feed the worms once a week and very sparingly with some other food.

suprisingly..even when they do eat the worms..their stomachs will not bloat like many i've seen thru the internet...any reasons?i have 5 CLs....approximately 2 inches...
