I don't think I've ever heard of or seen clown loaches eating other fish like those. IME, they are just silly bottom dwellers, who get to be a considerable size, and shoal. I think at least a 125 is reccommended for a nice group. They may start out cute and tiny, but with time they can get to be over 8". And don't let their playing dead tricks fool you. Give 'em veggies as a treat. I think Keith can show you an example of all of the things I've just mentioned.

That photo is over 12months old and she/he has got bigger since then. They can eat a full iceburg letuce leaf in less than one hour. They literaly tear it appart

I hope this helps you.

clown loaches are usually recommended by needing a 55 gallon tank or bigger.

your 100 gallon tank would be a nice HUGE home for them

The 100 gallon should do. I have a 79 gallon US with some tiny clowns. I plan to upgrade to a 300 gallon in time. But a 100 gallon should be quite roomy for them. They are fun fish, but you also need to remember that they like lots and lots of friends. The more the merrier. Also, they grow really really slow.
