Clown loaches would get much to big. You could get a couple of Cory catfish. I like the Panda cory. It stays quite small.

No, your tank is to small even for a juvenile clown loach. You might be better off with something small and slow growing like a brissle nose. BN's will get fairly large (about 12cm or so), but they grow slowly, so you could keep it for a year or so in that tank before you need a larger one.

Everyone is right on track.

Clown loaches are schooling fish that can reach sizes up to around 8" So that means you need 6 of those guys, which means about a 125 gallon tank at a minimum. Even as juvies, you should not keep them in a ten gallon. You do not want to stunt their growth, and these guys really need the room to be active and do their silly clown loach tricks, like playing dead.

Cories would be a much better choice, especially the panda who stays small. Be warned they are VERY funny. *giggles* And being shoalers, would appreciate a group of 6 or more. They are also compatible with what you have right now. In addition, they are great little bottom dwellers that will scavenge and eat any left over treats, and also appreciate sinking wafers and the like.

Bristlenose plecos come in several varities, and some *may* stay small enough for a ten gallon. *wonders how big clown plecos get* Ah....4"-5"...Thanks Dani. The best pleco for that tank would be a pit bull, kinda hard to find but stays nice and small. I wouldn't recommend a pleco though, they just poop a lot and ammonia poison the tank IMO. If you have an algae problem, carefully acclimated ottos would be a much better choice.

Snails will do something for the algae but are waste producers too. I think you should stick with the cories.

G/L!

Short and to the point. Forget about the "Clown Loaches" many reason mainly they will get too big for your tank.

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

If you are looking for something similar what about a kuhli Loach. They are similar colouring to the clown loach but are an eel like fish. They are small and something very different for the tank.

I second Rast's suggestion. I have 5 kuhli loaches and they are extremely entertaining. At first they spent most of their time hiding but after about a week they got brave. Now they romp about the tank chasing each other back and forth swimming through the bubble wall over and over. Plus they have the cutest little faces. I would recommend at least three. As a solo specimen they will remain in hiding and you may never see them. They'll appreciate plenty of hiding spaces and a fine substrate.
