	cories not looking so good
never say die Hobbyist Posts: 85 Kudos: 58 Votes: 1 Registered: 18-Jul-2004	Update: my large BN died my other ram is missing. When i pulled out my BN out the sides of its mouth it looked like white hooks were protruding throw its skin/scales. Could the little white hooks be worms?

I have just ordered a UV sterilizer in the hope that it will cut this sort of thing down a bit but also what I do is I have a small quarantine tank and I pop any new additions in there for 2 weeks to make sure all is ok before putting them in my big tank. They are quite sharp get tangled in nets easily. I'm not sure why they would have been out when he died, though... I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

never say die Hobbyist Posts: 85 Kudos: 58 Votes: 1 Registered: 18-Jul-2004	well this morning when i turned on the lights my cories were just sitting on the bottom and moving around the tank but not 5 cories would be.So i went in for a closer look and found that one had been nipped and the others were fine. Yesterday i also added a little bit of salt to the tank. the occupants are 5 cories,1 bolivian ram,2 bn,1 male and 1 female fighter.

The bettas sometimes snap at the cories, so I wouldn't be surprised if yours are doing the same. I'm just starting out with bettas so you might want to wait for someone more knowledgable, but I don't think it's a good idea to have males and females together unless you're breeding them.
