There's no such thing as a stupid question.

I *think* they are considered scaleless, most catfish are, like plecos and such. Not 100% though...Natalie?

If you're dosing meds, it is known for cats to be more sensitive than other fish...

Yes, i read that cories are considered scaleless fish. You may want to use a med that is safe for scaleless fish. As cories are not the best fish at handiling diseases even if it is just ick. As for the stupid question i'll have to agree with liana.

I agree there is no such thing as a "Stupid" question.

I have always been extremly careful when using any medications 1/2 - 1/3 strength is always the safest way to go. Also make sure you get good advice go to a good Aquarium and ask for some one with knowledge about your problem.

They are scaleless fish, like all catfish.

They do have scutes (bony plates) on their sides, but these do not serve the same purpose as scales.

Because of this, you should be careful when dosing any medication, although in my experience you do not necessarily need to use a half-dose unless the bottle says to with these kinds of fish.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
