Which would be much bigger. I assume how long it takes depends on how much food they have. I have one that only went from 2in. to 3in. in 6 months. But he is in a five gallon tank, and doesn't have as much to eat as he would in a 6ft long tank. Still, I know he will have to move out of that tank eventually. |

If I were you, I'd go with 2-4 bristlenose instead. they won't outgrow the tank, they'll do a much better job with algae and they will not stop eating algae as they mature into adults like most commons do. ![]() Jason |

That's nothin, I had one that grew 4" to 5.5" in one month. Yeah, they should grow to at least 18 to 20" long, so yer looking at a big tank. |
