besides, in the day of online messengers, evry1shortens words or sentences to make typing quicker.

I don't, and to be quite honest I actually look down upon people who type like they are just learning the English language (although I don't mind occasional, accidental errors or mistakes from people who really are just learning the English language).

The disregard that some people on this forum have for punctuation, grammar, and spelling not only makes their posts difficult to read, but it also makes the posters themselves look unintelligent.

It's really not that hard to find and press the "Shift" or "." keys, people...

Somebody please lock this thing and let it begin it's march into oblivion.

Is the punctuaton okay, Mike

Edit- CoryAddict,
I was going to let your post go with the little jibe but I think you need to hear something.

I have an 11 year old stepson that has a horrible time with spelling, sentence structure and punctuation due to a learning disability. But, he could take apart a refrigerator, a microwave and a dishwasher and build a submarine.

So perhaps intelligence is less a function of the rules of grammar than you imagine.

He has also started writing a book. Can you imagine the courage and determination it takes to start a book when the written language is so difficult for him.

"It's" should be "its" because it's possessive...

EDIT: I have ADD and dyslexia, and I have very few problems, mainly because I don't use it as an excuse and I keep trying. When I want to use a word I'm not quite sure how to spell, I simply open up MS Works and use the Spell Check. Very useful tool if you can spare a few seconds...

My bad, how stupid of me. "It" is a possesive oun and as such doesn't need an apostrophe.

I can't help but think it a pity that the study of grammar does not imbue the student with grace and tact.

I dont believe you for 3 reasons-
1- You are a new member and we do not know if you are to be trusted yet because of your post count.
2- No pictures, no proof.
3- you Didnt give any specifications as to ph, temp. , etc.
Now , if my clown loaches would start breeding, no one would probably believe me since i dont have a camera to post pictures.

What makes you so sure they are breeding? I have only heard one report of clown loach breeding, and that was an "all of a sudden, I saw these baby fish appear" thing. Can you describe what is happening?

From what I have read it is not 100% impossible but many experts have been trying for many years with out any success.

I think you will have to come up with some proof.

Where are you????

There would certainly be many who would like to see exactly what is happening.

Are you sure they are Clown loaches?

Yeah a tend to agree with everyone else proof is going to be needed. If they are breeding What should you do? Call your local news media because you are probably the first person in history to get these guys to breed in captivity.

50 gallen

3 irdescent sharks (they r liek 8 inches), 1 arwana(6 inches), 1 red tail catfish (he is like 4 inches, 1 dotted knifefish (he is 4 inches)and 3 goldfish that were the first fish in the tank.

remember people be nice, when i came here and started out with 0 posts, that doesnt mean i knew nothing about fish, i knew alot, and if the ritual could be explained, then maybe we can get an idea, and if no one believes you now, well, u can jump for joy when u have little fry, and are on every news station in the united states, how old are you? i ask because if u still go to school, then there may be a chance u can borrow a digi from them, it may not be free though, i dont know what other schools do, but i wish you luck and hope that they realy are breeding

Do you know anyone with a digital camera, anyone at all. If you can get some pics up it would be great.

Yup, need some pics. If you can get one of the simple roll cameras (or whatever they are called) and scan pics and post them, even those will be acceptable. We dont want to be mean to you, but what you are claiming is simply unbelievable.

as unlikely as it is that these clown loaches are breeding, i dont' really think it's necessary for everyone to jump down loaches throat and accuse him/her of lying. sure proof would be nice, but why can't everyone congratulate loach before condemming the idea that they are breeding. IF they are breeding, i'll be the first to say congratulations.
Sin - most of us have more than one fishtank. you've posted a previous post from loach for an (as you put it) 'insanely stocked' 50 gallon. loach claims to have the clowns in a 120, so if there was a problem with the 50, why would the loaches be listed in that 'insane listing' anyway? also, what's to say that loach won't be upgrading that tank? the fish are still quite small, and have a little bit of room to grow before a much larger tank is required.
just thought perhaps we should listen before we start yelling at people.

I agree that some have been harsh. Though the stats are what the stats are...

From the Clown loach profile on this site:
Breeding: Has been bred in aquariums but it is extremely difficult.

From loaches.com:
They have not been bred in captivity; probably because they do not reach full sexual maturity.

A link to an article regarding breeding clown loaches:
http://www.loaches.com/loachbreeding.html

Even if he is incorrect, it is no reason to drag the poor fellow through the dirt. The purpose of this site is to help guide people who don't know any better....

All, as it is highly unlikely...it is not entirely impossible. Please check your facts before you address people in these threads which such disdain. You would not appreciate if the same were done to you.

Clown loaches rule,
If you could somehow get a picture, even if it is taking it with a regular camera and having a retail store put it on CD for you...that would be awesome. We would all love to see such an anomaly.

Well folks, I don't think that this thread was very successful, meaning that nothing good was accomplished. Oh, quite the opposite. We don't need post counts or credibility to breed clown loaches (or any other fish), and we definitely should have treated this fella with more respect. If your aim was to scare off another member... You done good.

Clown loachs rule, please don't go. I realize that you have been treated less-than-lovingly on this thread, but it certainly isn't the norm. Plus, it didn't seem that your treatment was that harsh (to me). It is just that folks are skeptical of your claim, since the spawning of clown loaches has been so rarely accomplished. I really urge that you give this site a second chance.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
