|  | mystery snails for the clowns |

They'll appreciate a larger meal  and the supply will last longer. |

| judz     Enthusiast Posts: 256 Kudos: 160 Votes: 5 Registered: 06-Jun-2005    | thats good. cause they have eaten prob 200 common snails in a very short time span. i feed them blood worms every couple of days. but for the extra treat i thought well my snails are laying eggs anyways. now how many snails should i get each time it lays eggs cause im not sure if i have a tank to put all the babys in cause well the mystery snail is in my 10 gal which probably couldnt fit a ton of baby snails. |

| sham            Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3369 Kudos: 2782 Votes: 98 Registered: 21-Apr-2004    | You will get anywhere from 2 to 200+ baby applesnails depending on how many eggs are laid, how many are fertile, and how good the hatching conditions are.  They will hatch about the size of a medium pest snail but grow quickly.  I would think they'd be bigger than any pest snail within a few weeks.  I used 10g tanks to breed applesnails and they held the babies just fine for the first few weeks until they were big enough to pull off the glass and move to larger tanks. |
