what kind of pleco is this? | |

Your fish has a large head area and pectoral fins that are placed unusually forwards in respect to body length. It is a panaque. |

The main difference I can see from the pictures is that Funnyfish's pleco has wider stripes which appear to be a lighter color. Again, it is impossible to get a solid identification from that one photo, but the difference in stripes isn't so subtle that it cannot be seen. |

Maybe you will be lucky and find a picture of one that looks exactly like yours. I am sure that someone with more knowledge will be ble to give you better information. |
