I hoped you cooked them first. In Aust you can buy a "Pea, corn, and carrot" frozen veg mix I give them a mix of that every time I cook them.

I also squash them up before I put them into the tank.

More of my feeding program is in My Profile.

To be honest I actually dont know I just do. I never remove the outside skin reason their is possibly good nourishment in the skin as well. As I said before I just squash them up.

when you say sqaush them up,do u mean just in your fingers,or really mash them up.isnt this way a bit messy, most of the things ive mashed up they seem 2 be messy,i just try to keep them whole if possible, but if not mash em up.i just gave them a feed not long ago, this time i also put in corn and carrots aswell, anyone see any probs with this,im guns start trying to put more vegies and stuff into there diet.all my fish ate the vegies up.my 2 big tigers had a couple but i think they prefer something thats a bit more filling,i mite just mash sum beef heart into the vegies.

Most frozen peas are blanched or quick boiled so you can thaw them and provide them to your fish. It is a good idea to blanch fresh vegetables to break down the raw vegetable material. Mashing or squashing the peas with your fingers makes the pieces available to smaller fish.

Veggies won't touch your water parameters if the fish eat the veggies. If not, then use your net and take out the veggies.

Oh... don't use the creamed, frozen varieties!

Frozen peas are cooked at the factory. What we are doing at home is thawing and heating. If you defrost a frozen pea and compare to a fresh pea popped from the shell you will see what I mean.

I remove the skin from frozen peas. Depends on the size of your fish but I have heard of smaller fish choking on the skins. Skins would be good roughage for larger fish but I am cautious.

Glad your little guys liked the peas!

[only will affect the water if there is uneaten stuff. I feed peas only about once per wk or fortnightly and ensure there is no uneaten pea around]
