Can a Goldfish eat a Neon Tetra | |
TW Fish Master * * *Fish Slave* * * Posts: 1947 Kudos: 278 Votes: 338 Registered: 14-Jan-2006 | Hello, If anyone read my earlier thread, they would know my stepdaughter has set up her 5.8G tank with goldfish and neon tetras. She came home from work today, to find that one of the tetras is missing. Could the goldfish have eaten it? The goldfish are about 3cm (not including tail) and her neon's are very tiny - under 1cm. Could it possibly have been sucked into the filter. She has checked around inside the tank and hasn't found any dead fish. What do you think could have happened? Cheers TW |

My Black moor has eaten neons in the past but now he's in a 280 litres tank and still haven't touched the CArdinals I've putten there. but I think it's a matter of time Face up make your stand and realize your living in the golden Years |

AKA goldfish theory of aggression. |

Neons need a much warmer temp then a goldfish, and the goldfish will eat the neons. Also, you need a bigger tank. Goldfish need at least a 55, but should be kept in something bigger then that even, depending on the species Inky |
