Weellll....I don't want the guy's trailer to have a hole in it, and I don't want the tank to crash and break, but a sever bowing of the floor on a massive scale would be sufficient.

Hi,
I cannot believe that he is going to put one ton of weight
on a 6x2 footprint in a mobile home. It may take a couple
of years, but unless he gets underneath it and shores up
the flooring with floor jacks and 4x4 cross members, he
is sure to have problems.

I'd love to have a tank big enough for big fish, so I'd decorate this tank with a layer of playsand, big pieces of bogwood, and giant anubias and ferns. Then I would get some excellent birchirs: some ornates, and maybe even an endi... I think I would also love to have some knife fish that get quite big: Royals, Clowns, a Black ghost... very cool fish. I think I'd also want some good sized cichlids or something short and deep bodied to add a contrast in shape and behavior.

I love to dream about what I'd do with tanks that big... *sigh*

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

It's insane! I doubt he'll do any of that. That trailer will prolly be toast.

I'd either do a convict setup or I'd do what I origionally planned for my 46g before I got my Mbuna:

2x Veil Marble angelfish
6x Black Phantom Tetras
6x Panda Cories
2x Rams

Of coarse the numbers could be upped

Is this an older mobile home, or is it a newer manufactured home?

Different terminology is used based upon the dates of manufacture.

Additionally, if it is a newer model of manufactured home the actual flooring joists will be just as strong as a site built home and in many cases even stronger. Also as the manufactured home is built to be moved it has a steel undercarriage that if the tank was positioned over one of these members then the flooring would support it without any problems.

I'm not sure, I don't know the person, it's kind of 2nd hand info.

I'm still struggling trying to picture a 200 gallon tank in a trailer house. Perhaps it's a doublewide???

Could even be a triple wide, or they are even now manufacturing 2 story models.

Hi there,
the floor joists in a mobile home are usually
steel, and about 2 feet apart, making it more than
capable of holding the weight of a sizeable tank like that.
I see absolutely no issues with it whatsoever, espescially if hes putting it up against the wall, where there is always extra reinforcement.

I now have this hilarious image of someone trying to set up a 200 gallon aquarium in a caravan.
