My husband went to the fish store this week an lo and behold... They got a new shipment in of the yo-yos and angels we were wanting. We quickly snatched them up. (by quickly, I mean, we waited until Sunday to get them 1/2 off. Praying they hadn't sold them all by the time we got there.) My tank is now somewhat complete, more or less. We let go of the idea of the lampeye tetras, and for now, are keeping the neons. So far, I've only had one fatality, a neon. (which I think was bound to happen.) My husband feels circle of life works for him with the neons. Huh, What are ya gonna do? Ah well...

The yo-yos badger some of the tankmates, but they are starting to get better. The angels pecked at the 3 newbies, but now they are getting on better too.

I know when the angels get paired off I'll have to get another tank. (Hubby already has an eye on a 175 gallon.) Watching the fish seems to be more entertaining then TV too.

ah good stuff, always great to here when people get new fish
you probly already know this, but most of your neons will probly get eaten or picked on by your angels, they are the natural predator of neons.
however i think this depends on the angels, ive seen them kept toghter b4 with no problems,
but ive seen the angels knock the neons off 1 after the other too.

Angels and Neons it "can" be alright when the Angels are younger and small but as soon as they start to develop and are looking for a mate look out Neons its snack time.

I would get the Angels into a bigger tank as soon as possible.

Yoyos love to be in a school they will follow each other all over the tank. How many to get ??? I have only kept them once I had 6 then one day I had none and I have no idea what happened to them.

With Neons they love to be in big numbers in a well planted tank. If you plant to get more I would suggest you think about the Cardinal Tetras as they are a stronger fish and their colours stand out a lot more.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
