I euthanised my Ornate Bichir a couple days ago, left him in the freezer a bit long and all the water in the bowl froze. So I left the bowl outside while it defrosted enough for me to dump him into the septic tank.

I forgot about it.

Remembered at work and went to grab him the next day.

Bowl and fish nowhere to be found.

No idea what's happened to him and the bowl.

Maybe a cat took it home for its dinner.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Now let me guess, did your wife toss it out?

I forgot to say Ira told me in Chat (that's where members talk to each other)

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

I think my black shark killed him. I noticed months ago that he had a few small patches where it looked like his scales had gone a bit thin and translucent. I figured that it was just due to him scraping on rocks.

About a month ago when he was out of hiding I noticed the patches were covering about 1/4 of his body and the black shark would occasionally nibble on his side so I rearranged the rocks to give him more places to hide.

Then I found him with most of his fins shredded, bloody and he was upside down, panting and not reacting so decided it was time...
