Dragonet_Dude Small Fry Posts: 12 Kudos: 14 Votes: 0 Registered: 25-Nov-2004 | My LFS is notorious for mixing other fish species with their feeder guppies. today i got 2 Green platies, a Ringed Loach (!) and this: http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a144/Fish_Dude_Lev/?action=view¤t=fishweird.jpg I can't take a real picture now, as it's dark. Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks in advance, Lev. |

I can't recall having seen a Nothobrnchius with vertical stripes, but then it's a while since I updated the databa |

I'm sure others have them as well. However, this topic is really useless without sufficient pictures. |

I can't think of any species off the top of my head that are pink with black stripes, but I am by no means an expert on killifishes. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Dragonet_Dude Small Fry Posts: 12 Kudos: 14 Votes: 0 Registered: 25-Nov-2004 | The stripes faded a bit when I caught the guy, I used photoshop to "color them up" so yeah, they do look fake (I don't have too much photoshop skill) That might have been a bad pic, it doesn't look much like a platy when swimming. It looks more like a barb. Thanks for trying to help guys, i really appreciate it. |

Lindy Administrator Show me the Shishies! Posts: 1507 Kudos: 1350 Votes: 730 Registered: 25-Apr-2001 | Take a photo of it in the water. The stripes faded because the fish freaked out about being caught and taken out of the water. Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |
