Basically most Loaches will do the job "Yoyos" I believe are good and they will not grow too big, but they prefer to be in small schools of 4-6 Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. They stay small (although again you need to keep them in a school of 5-6) and do a great job of removing the snails. However they can be difficult to find and quite expensive (but worth the effort and money in my opinion). |

FRANK Moderator Posts: 5108 Kudos: 5263 Votes: 1690 Registered: 28-Dec-2002 | Ya know... I keep reading these posts about folks who have large populations of snails, asking how to get rid of them. Almost always, someone mentions one of the snail eating fish. Thing is, what do you feed them after the snails are gone and they are set in their ways? Or, more to the point, what do you do with the fish when they have served their purpose... give them back? Thing is, snails, particularly the MTS don't over populate as a rule. Their populations are controlled by the amount of available food (hint). Just wondering... Frank -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |
