It says it will compliment a community tank. Bear in mind that BGK are nocturnal so you may not see much of them during lights on. Personally, I would advise against the combo, I think that perhaps the water parameters will be different for each fish, the cichlid prefering higher ph levels and also some salt additive. My yellow labs (Labidochromis caeruleus) are pretty aggressive. I have a 55 gallon set up with only them, a large pleco and 2 rafael catfish. My larger male lab will pick at the pleco and the rafael's and I've even seen him grab ahold of the rafael's dorsal fin and try to pull them out of their hiding places. As the pleco and rafael's are heavily armored it doesn't cause them any harm, but I don't know how a BGK would hold up to this. Jim ![]() ![]() ![]() |
