ok as i was feeding the fishes in my 150g tonight. i noticed what i thought was hair on the outside of the tank. there are about 3 of them. well as i wiped off the front of the tank. i seen that they wasnt coming off. well after the fishes finished eating. i ran my nails across the inside of the tank, and they feel like a very shallow cracks. anybody? please?

as a safety measure, i already started moving the occupants in my 55g into my 30g that was ready for fishes. and i planned on having 150g fishes moved out as soon as i can and draining down the 150g below the cracks. all i know is i'm goign to be highly upset if it is bad cracks. i put sooo much time and money in this thing. thanks for any advice.

Does the 'crack' go the thickness of the glass or does it seem to be just on the surface?

It looks like a scratch to me. Hopefully that is all it is.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

That just looks like a scratch. Did you do any aquascaping lately? When rearranging rocks in my tank i always end up scratching the glass accidentally. nothing to really worry about

Is it a new tank if so contact the LFS and see what they have to say.
If it is a crack replace tank as soon as possible before they lengthen an cause a major problem.

If it is a scratch it will depend on how deep it is. I would be very concerned on how they got there especially if they are on the outside. Has any one wearing a diamond ring been running their hands over the tank?

When my tank cracked the insurance bill was over Aust$3000.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

yea no kidding, i'm hoping this is nothing, totally screwing my plans for my tanks.

they look and feel like scratches, and they are only about the depth of a stran of hair.

as far as aquascaping. no, everything has been in the same place for a while, only thing i do to this is water changes when needed.

tanks been setup for about almost a year now.

right now tanks just under 2/3 full just to reduce the pressure until i find out whats going on.
