Feeding Betta | |
smapty Hobbyist Posts: 99 Kudos: 64 Votes: 7 Registered: 07-Jul-2005 | I have a quick question about how much to feed a Betta Fish. When I bought my Betta the folks at the pet store said not to over feed them (which is a newbe mistake). So I feed him 6 pellets in the morning and then about 2 or 3 freeze dried blood worms at night. He literally SNAPS up the food and will even eat off my finger. So I am wondering does he need to be feed more? What is the norm? |

I also give them a couple of frozen bloodworms a few times a week. You definately don't want to overfeed, they can be big piggies if you let them. I feed my bettas three pellets (for each betta) both morning and evenings and reserve the freeze dried blood worms as a treat, once a week in place of the pellets -- only two or three blood worms, depending on their size. Congradulations on your new fish. |

You will end up with one big polution problem if you over feed any fish. Here are several topics I recently posted of feeding I might help you to understand food a litle more.
