Here is the new Betta it is not actually what I was looking for BUT the wife (Marg) saw this one and she liked its tail and colouring. His head and just behind is a jet black then the dark blue takes over. I think he is only a young fish. He is very capable of swimming in the tank current, he has also learnt extremly quickly all the hiding spots. He is also extremly peacefull towards the Cardinals.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

I was also thinking about how cool it is that the betta matches the cardinals! Great choice!

He has developed extremly quickly and has settled in fantasticaly, he now swims into the current without any problems or hides in the Java fern at the rear of the tank in the air wand bubles. His colours have also improved the black is blacker and the red and blue is a more vibrant colour.
