A 2.5 gallon tank is a little small for even the dwarf gouramis... Shrimp you can keep just fine in that small a tank (I have a 7 gal. shrimp-only planted tank, that is actually more interesting than it may sound), and a pair of ADFs would be fine in that tank. Is the tank planted? does it have a heater? What kind of filter does it have?

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

It's too small for a Dwarf Gourami but you can be fine with a few Ghost Shrimp in the 2.5 gal.

one dwarf gouramie may be ok in a 2.5, but not two. i don't see any problems with a dwarf gouramie with adf, or ghost shrimp.

You keep asking the same question about a 2.5g tank and people have been politely directing you to good information. I know you may not be getting the answers you want to hear, but really the tank is quite small, and it doesnt matter how many times you ask the question most of us here arent going to change what we believe to be suitable for a 2.5g tank.

Please read through the article below. It has been linked to by others before.
