Two females, one in each of my community tanks. Excellent for guppy fry control.
Fishyhelper, where do you keep all of those bettas? If I set up another tank, I think I'd have to start taking out -important- furniture, like my bed.
Kitten, if there isn't already a betta picture thread, I think one should be started. I'm sure everyone would love it.

One for the moment, but I have a hard time resisting them, Buddy will be getting a new tank soon and I will be looking for tank mates for him. I may decide to get a tank divider so I can have two bettas.

I'm uh... safely in the teens until you count the betta girls.

I HAVE built the betta collection up a bit... the one gallons used to be in storage, and then, I uh... yeah... Okay, I admit... I've got nearly every tank available to me full. The only ones I haven't dragged out are the new glass betta tanks.

I'm trying to figure out how to rearrange things ... The two new girls have to come out of the two gallon and join the other girl in the 12... that opens up the two gallon for the new betta boy (who still needs a name). But I want a tank for Gimpy the guppy baby, cause I don't know how he'll do on his own in a big tank... Are guppies jumpers? I could crack open one of the one gallons for him... Hmm...

In any case, I'm actually at about the number I'm usually at, except leaning more heavily towards the males than females. My girls used to outweigh the males by 2-1 or better.

Ugh, I just need to move out so I can set up things the way I want to! No more of these stupid little tanks... ten gallons! A betta to a tank, and give him buddies to play with!

In any case, maybe we should start up a "betta picture" thread?

Man, now I've got to count! Okay... new and improved count... at this time there are, uh... twelve betta boys and seven betta girls. Makes a current total of 19.

The boys are Patriot, Star Spangled, Feather, Balance, Majesty, Glory, Purity, Honor, Jezebeau, Freedom, Firecracker, and the newest-unnamed-as-of-yet betta boy.

I'll get back to you on the females (and come back with pictures like heidi ) since a number of them haven't been named yet. I lost quite a few to randomness and a few to old age, so I have to figure out who is left and give names to the new girls.

I can't believe everyone has so many. I have 1 - Otis. He's lovely, eats out of my fingers and is beautiful to watch. I would love another one in my 24g but there are nippy tank mates in there.

Uh... hang on, some finger counting has to go on...

Eight betta boys...

And, uh... and even dozen girls...

20.

Yikes.

My dad doesn't know about this. He will NOT know about this. My mom doesn't know about all the new girls. No one at home knows about the newest boy.

To many to count.... since I am over the 30

I have 34 right now. I have never bred mine, people just keep giving me their sick or unwanted fish. Each have their own 2 gallon tank (100% water changes) and I have them at work and home.

2 i got for my ten divided and they both only lasted 48 hours.
The third I kept in my 90g community for a year before him and my Dwarf Gourami got in a fight, lost them both.

You know it, heidi...

Don't mind the water spots... was afraid we were going to lose power for a bit there, so I was a bit more worried about getting mr betta into his new home while there was still light than about how things looked.

He's a thin little guy... but he's obviously willing to eat!

That brings the new total to 21.

Got a lovely (if rather sad looking) pale blue/white cambodian male today. Figured no one would take him because he was very unimpressive. It MIGHT have something to do with the nasty water he was in.

However, he seems to be perking up with his new one gallon home.
