I have recently only had 1 strip light on the 150 and it's not very bright, but the fish in the tank don't mind it thanks everyone. |

I always buy extras to allow myself a pair or 2 or to pick the most attractive and I plan on selling several fish in the near or distant future. anyways here goes. in this tank I have: (5)Amphilophus robertsoni (4)Thorichthys sp. 'Mixteco Gold' (2)Paratheraps synspilum (4)Theraps wesseli (1)Thorichthys meeki (firemouth) (1)Thorichthys maculipinnis (1)Archocentrus centrarchus (2)Cryptoheros sp. 'Honduran Red Point' (only proven pair so far) (2)Geophagus brasiliensis (1)Cryptoheros nigrofasciatum (Convict) (1)Lima Shovelnose Catfish (1)Polypterus senegalus (1)Polypterus senegalus 'albino' (1)Polypterus delhezi Jason |

Jason_R_S Moderator Posts: 2811 Kudos: 2421 Votes: 391 Registered: 18-Apr-2001 | they are fake and I got them in the crafts section at wal-mart. they were potted decorative household plants. I chose these because I dont' like the looks of the larger sized aquarium plants, and smaller plants would be miniscule in such a large/tall tank. I was very skeptical about them at first, but they are starting to grow on me. Plus, the smaller cichlids have really enjoyed hanging out in the small clay pots hidden by the large plant on the right. These plants are by no means permanent (yet) and I can/will move them if anyone has suggestions to make things look better. Jason |

So, I took a few minutes and moved some things around to put them how she drew it. Here's a pic of what she came up with. Just keep in mind that in here sketch were also 2 very tall corkscrew vals that at each end that reach the top of the tank. I bid on an auction for plants that ends in 4 days or so. Depending on how long it takes to ship them I should have them in a week and a half to 2 weeks. Jason |
