Just took a couple new pics I like.
Here they are

Wood Shrimp

Wood Shrimp

Ram

Only Pic Since Getting this fish - Imitator Catfish,
Sorry for the quality, its the best I could do with such
a skittish fish. See how big he/she is? Larger now than my largest adult pepper cory. I wonder how big it is going to get?

The wood shrimp are gorgous, how big do they grow, and what fish have you got them with?

The wood shrimp is exactly 2.5 inches from tail to end of ...snout ? nose? what exactly is a shrimps snout called?
I took him out recently and measured him.
He is very strong when he latches onto a finger!
thats how I was able to measure him he wouldnt let go

I have him in my 75g tank with discus, angel, loaches,
corys, tetras, pearl gouramis etc.
Apparently they go very red like that when there is plenty of iodine in the water.
I no longer add iodine as my present well water must have lots.
He is about 3 years old - he was 1/4 of an inch when I got him.

Does the Ram not bother the shrimp, or, vice versa?

No, I have 5 rams and none even show the remotest interest in the shrimp.
Not even the angel or discus or the large pearl gouramis.
The YoYo loaches and Polka Dot and Queen Loach as well my Dojos also all disregard it.

Love the pics Sneaky! How long have you had the rams? They're gorgeous fish. The wood shrimp looks pretty too. Do they eat algae? I had a ghost shrimp but it wanted betta rather than algae. LOL!

As I have said before, very nice Rams! I wish mine would have been as colorful when I had them.

Nice pictures as well.

thanks!
I also think the rams are quite colorful.
They are definetly one of my fave fish!

Colleen, the shrimp is a filter feeder - he has little
feathery legs in the front. They are EXCELLENT at cleaning and polishing the water! They eat all suspended algae, critters, food, etc.
My LFS has recently discovered they can order them in, so I am hoping to get a few more to help keep the water clean.
I find the shrimp a most fascinating critter. Sometimes he sits under the filter output straining stuff out, other times above an air stone, and then the rest of the time he walks around picking stuff up off the bottom with his little feather feet.
