Here are a couple of closeups of my fish
First up, a couple of my rummy nose tetras, they were nice and peaceful for a little while, making it possible to actually get one sharp photo (out of 10)

Second, by request of Alex, here is a closeup of one of my Yoyo loaches, these guys are almost impossible to get sharp photos off, they just don't stop swimming for more than a couple of seconds at most. And although they are in almost every photo I take, they're always blurred, this one isn't too bad though

Finally a closeup of two of the cories in my tank (and 3/4 of a rummy tetra). These cories (I have 7) are quite shy, and although they're rummaging around quite a lot when they think no one is watching, as soon as anyone gets near the tank they go in hiding and just eye you from the darker spots.

Great Pics Dr. Bonke! I especially like the one of the pudgy yoyo. I have tried for weeks to get a good pic of my zebra loaches, and they just don't want to cooperate! I think they go and laugh to themselves as I sadly walk away without a good picture...they're so onery

Very good photos well done some times it just pays to be ready as you never know when that photo will turn up.
A fixed feeding will keep them in an area for a while. I often use this method.

Great shots Bonke.

Been trying to get my rummies to sit still for months.

Beutiful Yoyo. Much more color then any I've seen. Most of them here are just silver and black. Any problems with them uprooting plants ?

thats one fat yoyo lol

it is indeed, it must be due to all the snails they eat on top of their daily diet of frozen red mosquito larvae and shrimp pellets.

Jenbabe, I have the same problems with my yoyo's, they're active all the time! For these creatures a digital camera is a must, without it I problably would have shot a whole role of film to hell

Keith, the feeding might work, but like fishyhelper said, my fish tend to go into a frenzy and are even less likely to sit nice and still. maybe I should get some food that they don't really like

Bernard, when I got the loaches (I have threeof them) they came from a department store fish section. I normally don't go there as in general the fish are in horrible health and the tanks tend to have lots of dead fish. But that one time when I passed through and noticed that they had yoyos I had to take the chance. Anyway, when I first got them they were kinda skinny and quite pale, the markings weren't very ounced and I would have been glad if one or two would have made it. All three of them survived and in a couple of days began to get the color as you see them in the photo. They're my wife's favourite fish so maybe I'll get 2 more if I see them somewhere. I generally have no problems with uprooted plants unless they're tiny to begin with. If a plant does get uprotted I just stick it back into the substrate, but then a bit deeper The yoyos are also quite inquisitive and check out the angels every now and then, feeling them out with those whiskers They're in no way aggressive, I love them!
