Thanks, he really is a great fish

He actually stopped long enough for me to measure him and he's only 6.5" body length...I guess length is deceiving because they're such thick-bodied fish.

It's like having another child though with his personality. He has an on-going game with my oldest son: Baby uproots the plastic plants, pouts until Andy replants them, uproots them again, etc etc

For such a large fish-and the largest in the tank-he's quite a wimp. Any type of new food I throw in the tank scares him enough that he'll go to a back corner and lay on his side, playing dead

I worried about him after my sev Tiny died. They pretty much grew up together and he stayed in his corner and wouldn't eat for over a week

He's a cute Oscar. Although some of them when they get fully matured, they quite ugly. But no worries, your's is too cute ^^

I had 2 14" oscars they where like my kids and the died in a power outage and i had them for about 2 years and they just started to breed. i was so mad when they died. i had like 400 dollars of fish go in a flash i also had a huge 8" fire mouth cichlid male breeder.
